Korea's transition from a recipient of official development assistance to a developed nation
through the self-sustaining growth and the transformation of its economic and social
structures.
This development experience is now recognized as a valuable asset for partner countries
in addressing development challenges and promoting sustainable growth.
To actively respond to the demand for such cooperation, the knowledge sharing program
was launched in 2004.
Starting with Vietnam and Uzbekistan in 2004, the KSP has expanded its cooperation to 100
countries over the past 20 years, establishing itself as a leading nation in knowledge sharing.
In response to the needs of the international community, the KSP has expanded its cooperation
across 14 areas, including industry and trade, science and technology, and macroeconomics
and finance.
KSP has launched joint consulting projects in collaboration with international organizations
to support policy implementation in partner countries by utilizing their regional and
field expertise.
In this process, the Economic Innovation Partnership Program was launched to foster
close collaboration with partner countries, laying the groundwork for follow-up development
and practical economic cooperation.
Furthermore, to address global challenges and lead future-oriented policies, KSP is
expanding its cooperation with leading economies like the United Kingdom, Australia, and Spain.
KSP has grown to become a strategic economic collaborative platform representing Korea
for the past 20 years.
KSP assists partner countries in building their own capacity for growth and supports
policy development.
As a result, policies in various fields such as economic strategy, science and technological
innovation, finance, and health have improved, creating a better environment for economic
cooperation between Korea and its partner countries.
KSP goes a step further by providing follow-up cooperation to help partner countries implement
KSP policies.
In collaboration with the Economic Development Cooperation Fund, relevant ministries and
international organizations, KSP has been driving infrastructure development and technology
cooperation in areas such as transportation, information systems, healthcare, and power
generation.
As a result, partner countries have developed a strong infrastructure and technology foundation
while expanding private sector exchanges between Korea and these countries.
Additionally, KSP has been building a global knowledge cooperation network aimed at leading
future development agendas, all with the goal of promoting sustainable development.
The KSP shares its achievements and exchanges knowledge with global scholars and experts
from various fields through the annual KSP dissemination conference and KSP regional seminars
with a focus on addressing global challenges.
