KSP is an inter-governmental knowledge cooperation program that aims to cultivate an efficient policy environment and enhance economic cooperation between Korea and 

its partner countries. Additionally, KSP serves as a global knowledge hub, fostering sustainable international partnerships and exploring follow-up cooperation measures to

KSP Dissemination Conference is held annually to share experiences and the research outcomes of the KSP conducted throughout project year.

The 2023 KSP Dissemination Conference was held under the theme of "Redesigning Knowledge Sharing: A platform for Economic Connectivity and Stability" on September 11th, 2023, at The Westin Josun Seoul, Republic of Korea.

In the sessions, we shared the outcome of the KSP with Indonesia, Paraguay, and Rwanda, as the Key Achievments cases. Subsequently, during the luncheon meeting, we presented plans for advancement of KSP focusing on the Private Sector Proposed Projects and we shared the KSP with Uzbekistan as a case of Private Sector Proposed Projects, exploring avenues for overseas expansion by private companies through KSP.

The 2023 KSP Dissemination Conference was held in both offline and online formats (Hybrid), with a total of approximately 280 participants attending on-site, including government officials, international organization representatives, diplomats in South Korea, counterparts from partner countries, and the general public. Additionally, about 578 participants joined the event online in real-time. This indicates the high level of interest and expectations from domestic and international stakeholders regarding KSP initiatives.

Since 2004, the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MOEF) of Korea and the Korea Development Institute (KDI) have carried out the 『Knowledge Sharing Program (KSP)』 designed to share Korea’s development experience and to provide customized policy consultations to partner countries.

‘KSP Dissemination Conference’ has acted as a platform to share KSP outcomes and exchange insights on the global agenda among various stakeholders, including governments, academia, and businesses.

This year's conference is particularly focused on exploring the Redesigning Knowledge Sharing: A platform for Economic Connectivity and Stability. For this purpose, the conference will invite high-level policymakers from partner countries, representatives from international organizations, as well as the domestic private sector and academia.

        The Webinar on KSP Project Proposal hosted by the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MOEF) of Korea and Korea Development Institute (KDI) was held on September 7^th (Wed.), 2022. The webinar aimed to introduce Knowledge Sharing Program (KSP) and provided specific guidelines for writing the KSP project proposal for potential KSP partners. More than 100 people from 55 countries participated in the webinar and discussed the KSP application procedure with KDI .

    KSP is a knowledge-intensive development and economic cooperation program launched by MOEF, which offers comprehensive policy consultation and capacity building opportunities tailored to the requests of partner countries. Since 2004, KSP has provided nearly 666 projects covering over 1,490 topics in more than 90 countries around the world.

▣ In the opening remark, Director General of International Economic Affairs Bureau at MOEF gave a welcome to the participants.

        The webinar started with an opening remark from Mr. Jin-Myung KIM, Director General of International Economic Affairs Bureau at MOEF. In the opening remark, he emphasized the importance of knowledge cooperation in the era of uncertainty such as the COVID-19 pandemic, climate change, and disruption of the global supply chains. He also promised to strengthen economic cooperation by expanding the roles of KSP.

After the opening remark, KDI showed introductory videos about KSP and a guide for writing KSP project proposal. The videos include key information on the concept, major activities of KSP, and the application process of KSP project proposal.

KSP Dissemination Conference is held annually to share experiences and the research outcomes of the KSP conducted throughout project year.

The 2021 KSP Dissemination Conference was held under the theme of “Navigating Green & Digital Transformation through Knowledge Sharing” from 28th to 30th September and we brought policy consultation cases of Green, Digital, and Infectious Disease Prevention and Control to share successful outcomes.

In the sessions, we shared the outcome of the KSP with Brazil, Kenya, and Honduras, as examples of the green and digital sectors, along with the outcome of the projects with Malaysia, Ecuador, and Ethiopia in the health (K-quarantine) sector.

This year’s conference was held for three days which included the 2021 KSP Regional Seminar with Africa and the 2021 Business Forum. These three days gave ample opportunities for our partners and experts to engage in more meaningful knowledge exchanges on the role of KSP in the ‘Green & Digital Transformations.’

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic travel restrictions, this year’s conference was a virtual event featuring live and pre-recorded content. More than 500 participants from 37 countries joined the conference confirming the high interest and demand of stakeholders both in Korea and internationally to learn more about KSP.

The 2019 KSP Dissemination Conference was held under the theme of "Beyond the Uncertainty," and we brought policy consultation cases from the Philippines, Belarus, and India to share successful outcomes of KSP. Also, with field experts and scholars, we discussed the role of knowledge sharing for inclusive and innovative growth and future of KSP.

KSP Joint Consulting, a triangular cooperation, has been conducted approximately 100 projects with 9 IOs in various partner countries during 2011-2017.

The 2017/18 KSP Regional Seminar in Southeast Asia was held in Vientiane, Lao PDR on February 27th, 2018. The event was hosted by the Ministry of Strategy and Finance of Korea and organized by Korea Development Institute. 

The Regional Seminar aimed to share successful results of KSP on ASEAN countries, Lao PDR, Vietnam and Cambodia, discuss ways to deepen cooperation through knowledge- and experience-sharing. The Seminar was composed of three main sessions: (1)Economic Effects of FDI and Policy Implications (2)Standardization policy for industrial development (3)Infrastructure Financing Improvement.

The seminar targeted selected policy makers and senior government officials, representatives from private sector and international organizations inside Lao PDR.

The seminar provided for a unique opportunity not only for mutual-learning and sharing the best cases in Southeast Asia but also promoting networking among participants.

More than 500 participants attended the seminar to discuss KSP results and outcomes, and share insights on the future of KSP.

2018 KSP Dissemination Seminar aimed to introduce KSP outcomes and explore how they can be successfully linked to economic cooperation schemes, providing a forum for vision and mission of KSP.
