The Libyan Delegation headed by Mohamed Ali Fakrun, General Director Assistant of the National Economic Development Board (NEDB) of Libya, visited Korea from 7th~14th December, 2009 to participate in the Policy Practitioners¡¯ Workshop hosted by the Ministry of Strategy and Finance of Korea (MOSF) and the Korea Institute for Development Strategy (KDS).
The objective of their visit was to share the first-hand experiences of Korea in human resources development and vocational training by visiting relevant institutes, and to have a seminar exchanging research results with the Korean consultants of the Libyan KSP and having discussion for effective and practical outcome of the KSP.
The Policy Practitioners Workshop was held at the Korea Polytechnic University in Jeju Island on December 11th and the experts from both Korea and Libya actively exchanged their views on 'Establishment of SME-Oriented TVET System to support public sector reform and employment promotion in Libya.'
During their visit, the Libyan delegates were invited to a variety of organizations and institutions in Korea, which included the Ministry of Strategy and Finance (MOSF), where they held a meeting with the Deputy Minister, Hon. Jae Hoon Shim. They also visited Seoul Job Center, Korea Small Business Institute, Human Resources Development Service of Korea, Seoul Technical College, Korea Polytechnic University and Korea University of Technology and Education in order to learn about the history, successful cases and challenges of human resources development of Korea. |
